818. Research Fellowship

The application to a Research Fellowship is open under the Project RECI/IMI-IMU/0038/2012 (“HOSTMICROBE@IGC "), financed by Fundação para a Ciência e a Tecnologia.

1. Duration: The Fellowship will have the duration of 31 months, starting on November 2013, in exclusiveness regime, as regulated by the human resources of FCT (http://alfa.fct.mctes.pt /apoios/bolsas/normasbolsasemprojectosunidades) and fellowships regulation of Instituto Gulbenkian de Ciência (http://www.igc.gulbenkian.pt).

2. Subject of Activities: Carry studies related to host microbial interactions in mice.

3. Scientific Orientation: Bacterial Signalling Group – Karina B. Xavier. - IGC

4. Selecting Criteria: Bsc. in Biology or related areas. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in working with Germ-Free/Gnotobiotic mouse models.

5. Month Stipend: According the regulations of the FCT Scientific Fellowships in Portugal (€745.00/month + Seguro Social Voluntário).

7. Methods of selection: Selection methods: curriculum (academic evaluation and relevance of previous experience to the current project), motivation letter, and reference letters. A weight of 60, 10 and 30 % will be given to each item.

9. Form of advertising/notification of results: The final results will be sent to all candidates (email) FCT.
