Duties

• Well versed to interpret in all engineering designed and construction methodology, process and operation, maintenance concept, typical drawings, general notes & project quality specification procedure
• Ensure that all assigned personnel and construction contractors supervision and manpower are fully instructed and motivated with respect to FWSA Health, Safety, Environment (HSE) policy, site security, site regulations, permit to work procedures and instructions and Client requirements
• Ensure by leadership and guidance, that all contracted works under his control meet all practical, commercial, requirements of productivity, quality and contract completions
• Agree method statements, risk assessments and job safety analysis. Ensure that all work is carried out in accordance with the agreed method statements
• Ensure E&I materials in contractors supply are scheduled on site to suit program needs
• Ensure that contractors carry out the receipt, storage, checking, test and calibration of instruments to comply with the project specifications and contract schedule

Requisites

• Experience in Construction/Engineering as an Electrical Engineer/Instrumentation Supervisor
• Fluent in both Portuguese and English
• Mozambique Nationals will be given preference

Duties

• To provide a planning/scheduling service (in accordance with contract execution procedures) to both project and corporate management for home office and external (i.e. field) activities
• Candidate must be responsible and willing to participate as a member of the team, conscientious, methodical and prepared to adhere to corporate standards and procedures
• Candidate must be able to communicate with the project team, other disciplines and the Client project team
• Candidate must be able to analyse the project and sub-contractors schedules, conduct what-if scenarios, meet all the project reporting requirements and to ensure the smooth running of all the planning aspects of the project schedules both on site and head office
• Understand all relevant documentation pertaining to the project including scope of services, conditions of contract, project execution plan, project schedule, etc
• Work within standard project planning/scheduling procedures. Ensure that these procedures comply with contractual reporting requirements and, if not, modify accordingly
• Prepare activity plans to accomplish all work required by the procedures
• Liaise with client project control personnel as necessary
• Produce current physical progress reports and final job statistics
• Prepare and issue project action reports (monthly) to Project Manager

Requisites

• BSc in Engineering
• Experience with Primavera (P6) and MS Project
• 5-10 Years project planning experience and good knowledge of project construction and conditions of Contract
• Fluent in Portuguese and English
