Job Description:    

Follow the day-to-day operations set by the Senior Analyst – Air Quality and GHG in the Environmental Monitoring and Analysis division to ensure continuity of work and the delivery of effective and high quality outputs.

Report on a regular basis to the Senior Analyst – Air Quality and GHG on the operational activities, challenges and issues faced, mitigations taken, etc. as required to keep them informed and updated on the activities performed.

Conduct required monitoring, analysis and benchmarking activities in collaboration with outsourcing partners to provide technical inputs on levels of air and noise pollutants and greenhouse gases in order to conduct a comprehensive analysis of identified issues/ risk.

Provide recommendations to support in controlling pollutants levels in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi and reduce noise and climate change.

Participate in developing air quality monitoring network and standards, procedures and methodologies for air and noise monitoring to ensure that all activities performed within stations are in line with requirements and provide reliable data.

Participate in the preparation of reports on air quality monitoring and analysis activities, emissions and concentrations of air and noise pollutants, and greenhouse gases and evaluate identified issues in order to inform effective decision making, and ensure timely and effective reporting.

Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders on matters related to air quality, noise or climate change monitoring and analysis in order to facilitate flow of information and build awareness.

Follows all relevant section policies, processes, procedures and instructions so that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner.

Support the creation of a change management culture through taking a ‘hands-on’ and ‘can-do’ approach to EAD’s new business changes, participating rapidly to the development of new initiatives, meeting planned targets, and demonstrating preferred high performance behaviours.

Comply with all relevant EHS guidelines, policies and procedures, report incidents and hazards in a timely manner, and reduce consumption of natural resources to support in protecting the environment and ensure a healthy and safe work environment.

Perform additional duties commensurate with the current role, as and when requested by the Senior Analyst – Air Quality.
