FACULTY OF MEDIEVAL AND MODERN LANGUAGES
Grade 6: £26,264 - £31,331 with discretionary range to £34,223 p.a.
The appointee will give no fewer than 24 lectures or classes in areas
related to renaissance and medieval Portuguese over the three terms of
the academic year; and an average of six hours of tutorial teaching
weekly in Portuguese, arranged across colleges. This will include both
literature and language teaching. They will also be responsible for
co-ordinating these teaching activities, and engage in University
examining and administrative activities within the Faculty.
Applicants must possess: A Master’s degree in Portuguese; A
successful track record of teaching at undergraduate level, and fluency
in written and spoken English and Portuguese. Progress towards a DPhil
in Portuguese; and an interest and relevant research in the field of
Lusophone literature would be an advantage.

provide teaching in Renaissance Portuguese literature and language.
