Application process for specific teaching vacancies
1. Complete our online application form2. Upload via the application form a single PDF file containing a letter of application (with an embedded compressed format photograph), and a CV. A joint maximum length of 4 pages applies to all applications and CVs. The attachment cannot exceed 1MB of data. The PDF filename should contain the applicant’s name with the surname listed first.
The letter of application should include a brief statement of the applicant's educational philosophy and should closely address the particular vacancy and job description. Generic applications for specific vacancies are not encouraged.
Applicants should also state what it is about the College that attracts them and how they could support the five elements of the College's learning programme including the Academic, Activities, Outdoor Education, Personal and Social Education and Service programmes.
Candidates should include a home telephone number and the contact details (including email addresses) of their current Head of School plus one other academic referee who will provide confidential references.
We reserve the right to deviate from the published deadlines or procedures if circumstances require it. This may include the extension or curtailment of the closing date period.
Vacancies for relief teachers
UWCSEA has vacancies for relief teachers at both the East and Dover campuses, to join the team of teachers who provide cover for colleagues who are absent on medical or other leave. Applications are welcome from teachers qualified for any teaching discipline or age group in the 4-18 range. Applications from High School teachers with experience of pre-university curricula are particularly welcome.Due to the nature of these posts, they are only open to applicants who already have resident status in Singapore (Singapore Citizens; Permanent Residents; holders of Work Passes issued by the Ministry of Manpower).
The application should be emailed in the form of a combined PDF file containing a letter of application and a CV. A joint maximum length of four pages applies to all applications and CVs. Expression of interest for future vacancies
If there is no suitable teaching vacancy currently advertised, please send a general expression of interest (EOI). Your EOI should include a brief statement of your educational philosophy and broadly outline what it is about the College that attracts your interest in joining the teaching staff. You should also outline how you could support the five elements of the College's learning programme including the Academic, Activities, Outdoor Education, Personal and Social Education and Service programmes.Your EOI should be no longer than four pages, including your cover letter.
