1040. PhD scholarship - remote sensing

Charles Darwin University - Darwin (Austrália)

Applications are open for a number remote sensing related PhD scholarship opportunities within the Research Institute of the Environment and Livelihoods at Charles Darwin University, Australia. Potential topics include:

Large area estimates of fuel loads for bushfire emissions estimates and fire risk assessment
Development of a canopy radiative transfer model including chlorophyll fluorescence
Development of a model to link solar induced fluorescence and photosynthesis

For more details on the following topics, visit the Bushfires and Natural Hazards CRC:

Integrating spatial data in support of disaster management in Northern Australia
Developing automated systems and products for UAV use in Northern Australia
Using UAVs to calibrate and validate remote sensing products with respect to disaster management
    Automated fire scar mapping
Climatic and meteorological drivers for fire behaviour
Consolidated bottom-up and top-down approaches for GHG emissions from fires
Deriving near real time fire information
