An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a global leader in speciality
chemicals, based in 34 countries, our client employs around 3,200

ROLE OVERVIEW:
We currently have a vacancy for a Lead Chemical Engineer, based at their North Humberside location. The successful candidate will be responsible for the development and delivery of projects in an efficient, safe and cost effective manner.
The role involves providing production support to ensure the safe and efficient operation of plant and processes. Leading and participating in hazard studies including carrying out risk assessments on production plant is a requirement of the role. Some line management responsibilities will also be involved.
ROLE REQUIREMENTS:
To be successful you should have a degree in Chemical Engineering as a minimum, and will preferably have achieved or are working towards chartered status. In addition, you should have experience in a similar role. You should be a team player with excellent communication, planning and organising abilities, and also be able to demonstrate project management and decision making skills.
You should be able to demonstrate that you have the initiative to develop and implement engineering procedures and standards for the site. Creativity and innovation when solving problems are also important.
